About Us
In early eighties Thangai (Thiruvalluvar Tours The World), a native islander and an engineering graduate from Madras University (CIT in 1977) built Maharaja hotel in front of Western Tower of the Ramanathanswamy temple, in Middle street. The Rameswaram pilgrims and tourists have experienced Maharaja's caring culture beyond as a hotel to stay. Maharaja was the best prestigious hotel in whole of Rameswaram island for the next two decades.
Mr Devadoss's fore father was native of Rameswaram by generations. He is a hotelier from this holy island just opposite to Temple Eastern Tower. For the past five decades he is associated in fishing and as well he is the leader of native fishermen communities. Mr M Ramanathan was associated with erstwhile Maharaja hotel since inceptions and as part of Victoria's senior management team. He is the third son of Late STR Manikkam. People in Rameswaram called him friendly as STR. He was a freedom fighter in the Indian National Army along with Subhash Chandra Bose. Dr Abdul Kalam former President of India, during his schooling days used to study books in STR's home library. Presently he is associated with Sathyabama University. His fascinating hobbies are book reading and touring the world.

Then Maharaja's managing team was 100 % from native's Rameswaram (Pandaji's family, local Islander's children). For two decades in totality, Maharaja team was famous for its devoted and noble services rendered to the visiting pilgrims and tourists from PAN India. Thangai happened to shift to Chennai for Deep Sea Freezer Trawlers operations and started the export of food to foreign buyers and majority to Japanese markets. Presently our freezer trawlers Mfv Meenavan (now the name has been changed to Mfv Alpha Challenger) and Mfv Jackpot are being operated in Kenyan & Tanzanian oceans with our Victorian team.
Mfv Angler after completing her 25 years of fishing was scrapped in Alpha Shipyard at Mumbasa, Kenya. Mfv Jackpot and Mfv Alpha Challengers are continuing their 35th years of successful deep Sea fishing operations in India and Kenyan oceans and the different oceans of the world.
Background: Victoria's sustainable export policy and the consistent quality of our food products brought victoria closer to a Japanese MNC Mitsubishi Corporation, Tokyo for two decades. MC-Tokyo upgraded our business relationship to a JV co. For foreign trade, our Mitsubishi friends took me to Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and as well to all five continents which silently taught me in background the merits of emotional value to the individual birth place, in my case Rameswaram.
In 21st century digital era, Indians globally spread over for the past two decades for their better carrier opportunities. The Hindus from all over the world and from India (about 1200 millions) identify Rameswaram as a holy shrine of Lord Shiva and Lord Rama. The visiting Hindu pilgrims and the tourists are increasing every year. It's important to have professionalism and reliability are need of the hour.
